DR. SUSHMITA N.BHATNAGAR

Dr, Sushmita N. Bhatnagar is a leading pediatric surgeon. She is a Professor and Head, Department of Pediatric Surgery, B.J.Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai and is also associated with Bombay Hospital as a Consultant, Mumbai.

She is a University recognised teacher for the degree course of M.Ch Pediatric Surgery and has regularly been appointed as examiner for several universities across India. She is also an inspector at national level for the Medical Council of India and Diplomate of National Board for Pediatric Surgery teaching departments.

Dr. Sushmita is a strong academician as well. She has attended more than 50 conferences and delivered more than 120 presentations and lectures. Apart from having written chapters in books and having publications in national and international journals, she is a reviewer for many journals including editorial positions in the Journal of Neonatal Surgery, Co-editor of GRASP (Journal of the Association of Medical Consultants), Editorial Board member of APSP Journal of Case reports.

She is a recipient of over 23 awards in both academic and non-academic fields , and has received the life-time achievement award for novel strategies in incontinence in 2008.

She is Secretary of Pediatric Surgical Oncology Section of Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons, India, and active member of the managing committee of the Association of Medical Consultants, India.

She holds a M. Phil in Hospital &Health Systems Management from BITS, Pilani. She has 11 years of experience in Hospital Management. She is a Honorary faculty and teaches subjects in Hospital management and is a Honorary Consultant and Advisor to Hospic Consultancy.
