This Study Guide is one in a series of five prepared by the
University of Wisconsin-Extension, Department of Engineering and Applied
Science, Disaster Management Center with financial support from the Pan American
Health Organization (PAHO).
This self-study series is designed to use scientific publications
of the Pan American Health Organization as texts for the study of health-related
issues in disaster management. Each module of the series includes a PAHO text, a
study guide, pretest, self-assessment tests and a final examination.
